Gas Operations (SF.IS.GasOperations)
Gas Operations (SF.IS.GasOperations) refers to revenue generated from regulated sale of gas through local distribution establishments and from service charges related to gas distribution.It includes the sale of gas to households, business organizations, etc., as reported by a company. Revenue from transportation of gas is also included in Gas Operations (SF.IS.GasOperations).
Gas Operations (SF.IS.GasOperations) includes:
- Wholesale of natural gas to other companies
- Distribution of natural gas to retail and other customers
- Revenue from the transmission/storage of gas
- Gas Operations (SF.IS.GasOperations) does not include the following, all but one of which are reflected in Other Non-Utility Revenue (SF.IS.OtherNonUtilityRevenue):
- Sale of propane or LPG (classified as Other Non-Utility Revenue (SF.IS.OtherNonUtilityRevenue))
- Sale of gas for gas exploration/refining companies (classified as Net Sales (SF.IS.NetSales)
- Gain/loss in trading of gas (classified as Other Non-Utility Revenue (SF.IS.OtherNonUtilityRevenue))
- Sale of gas equipment (classified as Other Non-Utility Revenue (SF.IS.OtherNonUtilityRevenue))
