New features and more improvements

We’re happy to announce that our September update comes with yet more improvements across the entire platform thanks to your continued valuable input. Please don’t hesitate to utilize the “Live Support” chat box on the upper right hand corner of your Sentieo screen with any feedback you may have.

Our attention for this particular release was focused around internal architecture improvements, including speed – you will notice significant improvements around Document Search queries as well as Plotter loading times. Other updates are broken down into function as follows:

Equity Data Terminal (EDT): New Earning Surprise function

Added an Earnings Surprise function to analyze a company’s history of beating or missing estimates, along with the related share price reaction.

Improved Sentieo Web Clipper

In addition to looking snazzier, we’ve added a few new features including the ability to:

• Clip PDF documents​
• Share an article with a colleague by tagging them​
• Star your clipped notes to mark them as important
• Add your thoughts and comments on the article from right inside the clipper
• If you’ve already installed the Sentieo Web Clipper, it will automatically update to the latest version. The Sentieo Web Clipper can be downloaded here.

Mosaic Update

We just launched our largest update of Mosaic to date to bring you the most complete and intuitive experience in Alternative Data.

Recent additions include:

• Stock Price Sentieo Index (all tickers): track relationships between alternative data and stock prices
• KPI Sentieo Index (for over 200 tickers):
  • Track relationships to Key Performance Indicators (e.g. same store sales, units shipped etc)
  • Implemented for retail, restaurant, and portions of tech. Coverage will expand weekly
• New “Correlation Settings” tab: Allows users to adjust correlation metrics and time periods
• New series selector toggles: Makes it easier to switch on/off datasets
• Mobile Web data: Added Compete Mobile Web data for over 100 tickers in Website Traffic section
• Ticker Coverage: Expanded ticker coverage to 420 total and re-categorized peer groups. Our next update will include international tickers.

Document Search

• Need for speed: Significant improvements in PDF loading times with more updates to come.
• Additional research providers: We’ve partnered with more Bulge Bracket firms including Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan to incorporate their research into your Document Search.
• Categorized broker research: We’ve categorized all research on the platform into bulge bracket, middle market and boutique shops under the Doc Type filter. We divvied up Brokers by size of firm and frequency of publication/requests. Instead of selecting brokers one by one, now you can select entire categories of firms. The buckets are arbitrary but designed to accommodate the majority of our users.​

Notebook

• Focus on improvements: This release focused on improvements and resolving minor issues rather than new features. Those improvements include fixing Evernote sync and email formatting issues.

Web Clipper

• Additional functionality: In addition to looking snazzier, we’ve added a few new features including the ability to:
  • Clip PDF documents
  • Share an article with a colleague by tagging them

• [BETA] International financial data: Our initial release of international financial data and Fundamentals; we now cover the following markets – Canada, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Italy and Netherlands. We expect to start adding at least 1-2 countries a week. Please contact your Sentieo representative to have your account enabled for international financial data.
• Fundamental data: Improved data quality in our Fundamentals section. It now incorporates the most recent quarterly key metrics and restated segment financials.
• Data quality improvements including:
  • Improved data quality on ADRs
  • Made several adjustments to net debt calculations for companies with captive finance arms
  • Applied adjustment ratios historically to companies undergoing spin-offs
• Improved UI/UX: The Summary tab of EDT has a new format for the share price graph, which now includes Volume data as a default option.
  Financial model line items: Added segment revenue and profitability to the financial model
• Institutional holdings: Improved share counts for form 4 data

• iPad Updates:
  • Watchlist: The most used feature on iPhone is now available on iPad. Use the slide-out menu on the bottom right to get up to speed across your investment universe. You can also perform document searches on Watchlists! Catching up on everything from Broker Research to Earnings Transcripts has never been easier.
  • Stream Page: Wouldn’t it be nice to look up stock charts, multiples, and news on the iPad instead of just dinky old Document Searches? We thought so too.
  • Offline Notes: Previously, you couldn’t add tickers and tags to your notes while offline. Thanks for pointing it out!
  • Enterprise Security: Complete security revamp for Enterprise customers. We can’t tell you any more 😉
• iPad Improvements:
  • Offline sync: improvements in response to user problems with spotty Wi-Fi connections. App now performs rollback sync more actively when issues occur.

Alerts

Sentieo Edge Digest: Sentieo Edge is the daily pre-market and post-market news catchup email that users know and love. However, we noticed that the emails can get unwieldy for people who follow a lot of tickers or when people go on vacation. So we have also created the Sentieo Edge Digest with shortcuts to all alerts and a focus on the top 5 movers of the day. (You can choose to receive either or both on the System Alerts screen in the Settings page.) Now, you can click on anything within the Sentieo Edge and Edge Digest emails on your phone, and it will take you straight to the relevant page in your Sentieo mobile app!
