Slack Integration

In our continued effort to connect Sentieo with popular cloud storage and collaboration services, we are pleased to announce the roll out of our initial Slack integration.

You can now share notes directly from Sentieo with your team via existing communication channels in Slack. Research can be brought to the attention of your teammates and previewed in Slack, then fully consumed within Sentieo.

Posting to Slack is the first of many features we plan to roll out to support the exchange of data between Sentieo and Slack.

Slack App Approval

If you are part of a workspace which requires that any new app needs to be first approved by the owner of the workspace and you are also the first user in your workspace trying to install the Sentieo app, then you’ll need to go through the following steps:

Step 1: Once you click on ‘Enable Sync’ in notebook settings, or on ‘Connect to Slack’ in More menu in a note or a document, you’ll reach the Slack app page where it will ask you to submit a request with the workspace owner to approve the app.

Step 2: Once you submit the request, the owner of your Slack workspace will receive a notification in their Slackbot (or any other selected channel). The message will have options to either approve or restrict the app from your workspace.

Step 3: Once the app has been approved, you will receive a message on your Slackbot notifying you that the app can be installed. After that, you can follow the steps below to install the app and post notes and docs using the app.
